Sources and methods
- Cards and rules
- Card identities, Oracle text, faces and imagery come from Scryfall. Rules explanations cite Wizards’ release notes, Comprehensive Rules and tournament guidance.
- Products and pull rates
- Contents and official category rates come from Wizards and WPN. A modeled per-card estimate, when available, is labeled separately from an official slot rate.
- Prices
- Sealed market prices use matched TCGplayer listings through TCGCSV; singles use Scryfall’s USD finish prices. An unavailable price stays blank. Retrieval and snapshot dates are shown beside the figures; prices exclude tax and shipping.
- Deck plans
- Human draft reviews inform strategic advice. Rules-based explanations are identified where they supply the reasoning. A strong card still needs a deck that can cast it and support its role.
- Win rates
- Only 17Lands’ public datasets are used. Card-in-hand win rates count drawn card instances, including multiple copies; they do not measure how often an individual card caused a win. Rankings require at least 100 instances and identify their format and date range.
Reading the dates
Each price feed and draft dataset keeps its own date. A guide’s writing date does not make an older dataset current. Release and event wording changes with the calendar; historical draft results keep their original format and dates.
